Chapter One:
" You quit? You can't quit " Donnie shouted into the receiver of his phone. He heard the buzzing sound grow louder as his assistant hung up. He threw down the phone on the table and surfed his fingers through his hair. Nothing was going right the last few months. Him and his wife was having troubles at home, they would argue regularly - pushing each other to the limit of staying out all night. The paparazzi would always find stories to exaggerate over his marriage. Turning into rumors, which started more lies. Going around in one big circle, it tore him apart. Mark walked through the door with a smirk plastered on his face, but soon faded after he saw his brother. Donnie wasn't ready to face anyone today, but he knew he couldn't hide forever. Mark passed him a cup of coffee and sat down " Thanks " Donnie mumbled seating himself on the coffee table.
" You look like crap Donnie - you really need to get some sleep " Mark cringed at the black circles forming under Donnie's eyes. Donnie didn't know how to sleep, he was always working 24/7. Pushing himself to the limit, he needed perfection. Even on the tour busses he found it difficult to catch up on the sleep that was much needed. He would always find things to complain about. Either it was Joe who snored to loudly, or Jordan left the bathroom window open. He would pick fights with it.
" Yeah well You don't look so hot either " Donnie spat back. Sipping the coffee from the mug loudly. Mark winced at his brother, crinkling his nose spitefully " You really need to start dating more often Mark. Instead of picking nuts with me " He laid his head back, sighing deeply. Mark got up putting down his mug walking passed Donnie. Bashing his shoulder against him as he did so " You little.. " He opened his eyes as the door shut behind him. He rubbed his temples, his head was throbbing from so much pressure he didn't know how he could control it. His phone vibrated on the table, he hesitated a while before grabbing it and holding it to his ear.
" What the Hell D. You said you'll sort it " Donnie heard Joe shout down the phone " Now we need to find a new assistant and this time no funny business with it. We've already hired three female assistants and you seem to thingy it all up " He carried on. Donnie had no time for this crap and flipped down his cell. The phone rang for the second time, Donnie growled under his breath and UN-flipped it.
" Listen Joe you little shi- " Donnie said, but soon was cut off by the sound of Dina's voice. He kicked himself inside, he knew he should always check the caller ID before answering. The line cut off as soon as Donnie wished to apologize " nuts " he scolded. Throwing the phone to the floor and getting up. He knew he needed to sort his life out, but with all the Reunion happening he didn't have time to worry about himself. But the worries of the fans concerned him, they didn't know what would be going on behind closed doors. He grabbed his car keys from the table and headed towards the door. Leah, his wife didn't consider him going on tour again. He suggested that she come with, but she refused. She had to worry about their kids, but he knew that there would be a possibility for them to go on tour with him. He bit on his lip and opened the door, hoping there was no cameras or camcorders flashing at him. Luckily the coast was clear for now, but he didn't know how much he could hide from the tabloids and paparazzi anymore.
He hit the elevator button and waited for it to arrive. He was conscious and wary about who could be watching him. He was staying a public hotel for now while the others were at home with their families. He quickly got into the elevator and closed the doors before anyone had the chance to stop it. He let out a relieved sigh and Lent against the bars. " What is wrong with me? " he asked himself. He used to love the screaming of fans, the presents from admirer's and the warm feeling he made girls feel. But somehow that all frightened him now. It was his idea for the reunion to happen, to bring the guys closer together again. But some part of his heart, he knew that he made the wrong decision. The elevator came to a halt, he placed a cap on his head and took out his tinted shades. Stepping out of the elevator he looked around, everyone seemed to be doing their normal day-to-day life styles around the hotel. He headed to the reception desk, he heard shrill screams coming behind him. He turned around and quickly loosened that feeling as he saw Jesse McCartney walk through the doors and turned back to the receptionist.
" Leaving so soon Mr Wahlberg? " She asked fiddling around with her computer keyboard. He leaned over the desk and put his finger to his lips.
" Not so loud.. " He looked at her name-tag and smiled " Bonnie " He passed her his room key and signed his name " You could say that " he told her passing the papers. Grinning, he turned to leave pushing his way through the hotel doors.

Chapter Two:
Donnie pulled out his personal cell as he entered the car. He closed his eyes and shut the door, debating weather or not to read the messages on his phone. He knew that they would be snotty remarks about him from Leah or ' We miss you dad ' messages from his sons. They weren't divorced yet. They haven't even spoke of the word divorce in the house, but he knew that they would be better off if they were. Leah arranged times and dates for him to see their children. It weren't even a legal custody agreement, he was still wearing the wedding ring meaning that he had every right to come and go to see his children as he liked. He opened his inbox and clicked every message.
<mom> Roberts birthday tomorrow.
Delete.
<Jamzie> Moving on Saturday - help out please
Delete.
<Leah> come home we need to talk
Donnie hated them three words. They were the words of hatred and sadness, he knew nothing good can come out of that sentence. He breathed in deeply and hit reply. His fingers trembled as he struggled to hit the buttons.
<D> Fine I'm coming back.
He hit send and relaxed back in the seat. Gripping hold of the steering wheel and turning on the ignition. Wheeling down his window he Lent his arm over the side. Feeling the sun-rays burn into his skin as he reversed out of the parking space. He hit the high-way immediately, feeling the breeze through the window made him realize how lucky he was. He watched as the buildings of Boston appeared beside his car. Everything he ever felt melted away as he watched the sea churn over the buildings beyond Boston. He wanted to get away from everything, but he knew it wasn't as simple as that.
He pulled up outside his house as he watched Leah standing at the door-way with Xavier and Elijah beside her. He closed his eyes got out of the car. Heading towards the front-door the boys disappeared back inside as Leah turned away from him. That was Donnie's normal greeting. He closed the door behind him and followed Leah into the living room. She stopped dead in her tracks and turned to him " Donnie explain to us why you're never home. " she looked at him, fury in her eyes. It made him ache inside why she didn't trust him. She knew the answer.
" You know why I'm never home. I have the New Kids to contend with " It also made him irritated how she would ask the same question every time he arrives home.
" Oh. So you're never home when I need you, but you're here with other girls? " her voice sounded hurt and broken with tears " You know exactly what I'm talking about Donnie Wahlberg - Xavier saw you. You're hands all over another women, No wander our marriage is going down the drain " Donnie knew she couldn't bare to look at him. Sometimes he couldn't even bare to look at himself without wishing he was another person.
" What? " It was Donnie's turn to sound hurt and neglected. Xavier saw nothing and he knows d**n well himself he didn't " When was this? " He looked around the room, everything was quiet. Elijah was sitting opposite the window watching outside trying to hard to ignore the conversation his parents were having " Xavier knew d**n well I was here doing my work I had no women over what so ever " he shot his eyes at his sons direction pointing towards the stairs " Upstairs now " he ordered, he was in no state to raise his voice at his children, but if he had to he had to. Xavier looked over at Leah and narrowed his eyes pushing passed his dad.
" I really can't believe you Donnie. I really can't, you're obviously not the man I married " she turned away from him. Lowering her head in tears, he knew what was coming. He would soon have to pack his bags and leave until the next time she had something to say.
" I know the whole ' Pack your bags and leave ' situation. Don't worry Leah, I won't be coming back every time you want me to. If you're wishing to be like that every time Xavier opens his mouth and talks before his brain works then so be it. Just don't expect me to clear up your mess when you find out that he was wrong. You'll see Leah, you'll regret ever doing this. If you want a d**n divorce bring the papers. I'll be happy to sign my name on the dotted line and clear off " He walked out of the living room, pacing upstairs to his shared bedroom. Hearing the dramatic sobs of Leah downstairs made him some what delighted that he was leaving. This time he knew he wouldn't be coming back.

Chapter Three:
Donnie dragged his bags down the stairs with him. Cursing under his breath, he didn't know where he could possibly go but he knew he wasn't staying where he wasn't wanted. He grabbed everything from the hall-way table and opened the front door. Feeling Leah's grip hold him back by the arm " Please don't leave Donnie we need you " she pleaded. He didn't want her to grovel to him. She wasn't half the effort she would put into it. He tugged away from her clasp and walked out of the front door allowing Leah to fall to her knees.
" Shut up women " he scolded walking down the path carrying the bags to his car. He could hear Leah call his name repeatedly. She knew he wouldn't come back, everyone knew it. It was a long time coming and it had finally arrived. He UN-locked the trunk throwing all of his bags into it. He glanced over to Leah, she was crying dramatically in the door-way begging him to stay. He shook the thoughts from his mind and got into the car. He opened the glove-department and threw a card out of the window towards Leah " Have this and shut up. Get yourself together " he told her turning on his engine and pulling away from the house. Smoke filled the air behind the car that had once stayed outside of the house. Leah looked up and crawled to the card opening it with trembling hands.
Leah.
I know everything hasn't turned out the way that we had planned it to be. But I know we can work through the problems if we believe that it could work again. I'll give it 100% if you're willing to try with me.
I love you.
Leah looked up again, screwing the card up in her hand. She wasn't upset that Donnie had left her she was furious " Well if you love me so much Wahlberg why did you leave " she screamed at the empty spot infront of her throwing the card on the floor. Getting up from her knees she went back inside slamming the front-door behind her. Elijah ran passed her and went upstairs. She ventured into the living room and sat down picking up a few credit cards that Donnie had left behind " If you're not living here anymore - you wont want these anymore " she said to herself, smiling at the platinum card infront of her. " I'll get you back Donnie - I always do "
******************************************************************************************
Donnie lent his elbow on the rim of the door. Focusing on the road infront of him, he knew there was always someone who he could rely on; Naming Joe. He knew that him and Joe never got on, but he would always lend a helping hand to Donnie. They both knew how many problems Donnie would get himself into, and they would always have to try and solve it. He rubbed his fingers along the side of his face, massaging his temples. His body tightened up as soon as he thought of the fans. This story would be all over the front pages and headlines. He ran his fingers through his hair as he shoved in a CD to help him relax.
Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down. Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
" Exactly how I feel Rick " he said to himself. Sighing, he switched the songs over. His phone buzzed a few times beside before he gave in and pulled into a drive-in McDonald's. He picked up the phone and smiled " Hey Joe " he said watching out of the windows lowering his head.
" Donnie what the deuce man. Have you sorted it yet? " He heard Joe ask.
" Yeah Joe, I sorted my marriage thats what I did. Wait, I'm coming over so stay put okay? " he said flipping his phone down and getting up starting his car again. Reversing out of the parking lot back onto the road. Suddenly he felt slightly better talking to Joe on the other line " Yeah. I'm going to sort my life out "

Chapter Four:
Sami watched as Nina savaged her hair with her hairbrush. She couldn't believe that she was turning fifteen next month it was like yesterday that she said her first word, started walking and had her first birthday. Soon she would be wanting to lead her own life without her mom interfering. Nina looked over from the mirror and smiled at Sami, she couldn't believe how much her daughter had grown " What's wrong baby girl? " Sami asked walking over draping her arm over Nina's shoulder.
" Nothing Mom. It's just.. why is so hard growing up? " she looked up noticing that the smile off her mom's face had vanished. Nina knew her mom was feeling the pain of losing her little girl. Sami rubbed Nina's fringe out of her face and kissed her fore-head.
" You're not grown up yet Baby. Just enjoy being a teenager, I wish I did " she told her walking away. Nina looked at herself in the mirror wiping the excess mascara off her eyes. She turned around and grabbed the back of the chair. She slowly sighed watching Sami walk out of the bedroom.
"..Enjoy being a teenager.. I wish I could " Nina turned back around and finished wiping off her make-up. Sami peered through the ajar door and smiled. She knew then that she wasn't losing her little girl, her little girl was losing her. She shut the door quietly and started heading downstairs when he phone beeped on the table.
<Donnie> Hi Sami how r u today
She smiled at herself. She had known Donnie since they were in kindergarten. They shared a tight friendship until Donnie parted and went his way with the New Kids On The Block. She was always wandering where he would be, and what he was thinking about. She knew he was always with her wherever he may be. Until it came to when they were the biggest sensation in the world, it seemed to dawn to Sami that he had no time for old friends.
<Sami> Hey D im great thnx wot r u doin today
She hit reply and waited for Donnie to text back. She knew he would be doing something important right now. Since the reunion of the New Kids, they never really stayed in contact anymore. She would rarely get one text a month or two.
<Donnie> nuffin im with Joe at the mo swing by if u want
She liked Joe, he was one of the many people she got along with. As far as Jordan and Danny, they were people she rarely had a real conversation with. They never meshed well together in a friendship. It took some courage to text back, she hasn't seen Joe in a while either. Longer then she hasn't seen Donnie. She was worried incase he didn't remember her. Or didn't like her anymore, but she plucked up enough courage to reply back.
<Sami> ok should i bring nina 2?
<Donnie> if u want bbe
" Nina come down sweetie we're going to see Donnie " she called out. She knew Nina hated Donnie but she couldn't trust her on her own. Nina looked at herself in the mirror, narrowing her eyes at her reflection. If theres anything else she hated in the world apart from spiders - it was Donnie Wahlberg.

Chapter Five:
Nina's 1st person & 3rd person
We pulled up outside Joe's house, I glanced over. I saw Joe and Donnie standing there waving at us. I liked Joe, I always have done but Something didn't seem right about Donnie. Mom got out of the car walking around to me. I held onto the seat-belt, hoping that she could go in without me but to my fear she opened the door and pulled me out of the car. I narrowed my eyes at her, raising the volume on my Ipod. She looked at me blankly grabbing hold of my arm and dragging her along with me. We met Donnie and Joe at the door-way. Donnie leaned over and kissed mom on the cheek, then looked at me. I cringed inside as I allowed Joe to kiss me on the cheek. Donnie looked at me, his eyes showing everything that he was feeling towards mom. I grimaced as he smiled at me, the smile that I hated. That smile that got mom all warm inside, the one that she blushed most frequently at. He allowed us in as I followed behind mom into the living room. I looked around, Joe had a nice place no doubt about that. But I suddenly felt UN-comfortable when Donnie walked in with Callum beside him. That was Joe's obnoxious sixteen year old son. Callum looked at me, giving me a side smile. Joe walked up behind him and rested his hands on his shoulders. " Listen Callum. Why don't you go and show Nina around? " We both agreed as Callum took me upstairs towards the games room that they had supposedly have.
**********************************************************************************************
" So Sami. How's everything been with Nina? " Donnie asked passing a cup of coffee to Sami. She took it and sighed flopping into the couch behind her " That bad huh? " he asked sitting beside her. She shrugged desperately " I remember when Xavier was that age - they just don't know what to do. But as soon as he hit sixteen he changed "
" It just seems to be that she's growing up so fast. " she said. Donnie looked at her, searching her eyes for answers that he couldn't give her. " It's just like I'm losing her. She isn't the same girl. I just wish I knew how to let myself let her go " He placed his hand on Sami's and smiled warmly at her. He wasn't the one that could help her, he didn't know what to do to make it all better.
" I understand Sam Let her grow up, she'll always be your little girl. Heck, I'm still threatening to paint Xavier's room stars and rockets " Sami laughed nervously before blushing from the neck up. Donnie looked at her, placing his thumb under her chin and raising her head " Jeez Sami. You're all grown up now " He said, Inspecting every little feature on Sami's face. Her face flushed red again. She couldn't control her embarrassment. She wasn't as naive as she used to be, but she still feels like she's a crazed-love struck teenager. She smiled UN-easily " I've missed you " he moved closer to her. Stroking her cheek with the back of his fingers. Going in for the attack, puckering his lips slightly. Sami leaned closer, moving her head in the other direction.
" Ergh. Grotesque mother " Nina and Callum stood in the center of the living room. Donnie moved away and looked up " Please get a room, I don't want to see my mother making out with THE Wahlberg " Nina said sarcastically sitting down on the opposite couch. Joe came in carrying glasses of cola passing them to Sami and Callum. He stood there with Callum witnessing everything.
" Wow Donnie. I know you haven't seen her for a while, but rushing things or what? " he said passing the glass over to Nina. She smiled warmly and turned off her Ipod. Donnie got up letting Sami fall to her elbows on the couch as he walked over to Nina and knelt down checking her Ipod.
" So type of Music do you like? " he asked flipping through the songs on the Ipod. Nina swallowed the mouthful of drink and snatched it back. She turned it off and packed it away in her pocket. Glaring un-steadily at Donnie turning her head away and closing her eyes " What's wrong honey? "
" I'm not your honey Wahlberg just leave me alone " Nina spat back keeping her eyes focused on the back of the chair.
" Nina - Don't start with the attitude " Sami commanded getting up " Now Apologize to Donnie right this minute "
" When Hell freezes over. And when he stops trying to buy my friendship "
